I recently have registered to tour a couple of schools during spring break. I plan on going to South Carolina to check out Clemson and Coastal Carolina. Clemson has one of the oldest sports media/communications programs and is a great college town. There football stadium is also amazing. Coast Carolina also has great sports journalism, but they also have a great marine biology program since it's located in Myrtle Beach. We will then travel down to Florida were I'm visiting the University of Tampa and University of Miami. Both these schools have both sports journalism and marine biology and are both in fantastic cities. Especially in Miami which is located in Coral Gables, Florida which is a gorgeous town close to Miami but it right by the water.

This past weekend I went to Pittsburgh and stayed in the downtown for the first time. We stayed at a very historic hotel which had a lot of good views of the river surrounding the city. My parents an I explored some of the downtown before heading the the history museum. The museum and a lot of interesting artifacts from  history (mostly from Pittsburgh). My favorite part was the artifacts from sports because it showed famous moments from each of the Pittsburgh teams. Other parts of the museum were also interesting like the Heinz exhibit which showed the history of the company since it was based in Pittsburgh. After the museum we went to the basketball stadium at the University to watch West Virginia play Pittsburgh in basketball, which is a big rivalry game. The game was very intense but it became very fun when West Virginia started pulling away in the final minutes of the game. After a day in Pittsburgh we traveled to Morgantown, West Virginia for the football game where they play...

Recently my internship has gone really well. The photographed the last High School home game of the year which the Bearkats sadly lost but I still enjoyed being there. The Middle School team also became the first Post Oak Volleyball team to go to the playoffs. They played their first game at home which was a lot of fun because of how many people showed up. Middle School dominated their first opponent in the playoffs. The second game had a lot more people showing up and the place was loud. Unfortunately they lost their second game, which was probably the most back and fourth volleyball game I've ever watched. I was able to take pictures of both games and create and article. My article was posted on the school website and pictures were posted on the website and the social media pages.

This week I was able to get an internship to be the Bearkats photographer/analysts. I had already been talking about doing this internship since the end of last year with Ms. Agrawal and Coach Kruse. However, this last week I was able to get the internship finalized. During this internship, I will be going to Bearkat games, of any sport, and taking pictures and writing a report to Coach Kruse for it to go on the school website or the social media page. I'm very excited to get this started because I've been wanting to do something like this for a while.

Earlier this week I had a golf tournament. The golf team and I headed out to the Bay Oaks golf coarse early in the morning, which is in Clear Lake. Once we got there we headed straight for the driving range to be able to practice our golf swings. After about 45 minutes at the driving we then went to the putting green for about 15 minutes before the tournament actually got started. The tournament finally started and I got set at my starting hole which was hole 13. The person who I was playing took a while to show up but once he did we immediately started. Throughout the tournament I was pretty consistent. I had some really good shots, especially my drives, and I even got a par on one hole. I finished the day with a score of 83 and placed 3rd on the team. Unfortunately, we had to end early because the rain started coming down on us. When we counted scores our team placed 9th out of 12 teams.

A learning experience I had recently was Odyssey Week. During this week we did a lot of community building activities where we would go on field trips around the city of Houston and we even went outside of Houston. Some of these activities included sea grass planting in Galveston, going to a temple in Asia Town, and having a cooking competition at Brazos Bend. The cooking competition had to most community building because we where pared up into groups and had to work together to make a dish to impress the judges. The best part about my group is that we didn't even car about winning, we just wanted to have fun and have something to eat.

This week I'm thinking of joining the South Texas PGA (STPGA). This is a youth golf organization that goes throughout South Texas, mostly in the Houston area, and they have golf tournaments every week. Since I want to play golf in the future, I want to start playing competitive golf as early as possible instead of waiting for my Junior or Senior year. This will give me experience and will improve my game a lot. I have recently been practicing with an instructor for the past few weeks and I think I'm able to take on the challenge with playing kids who are on my level or even better.
